I don’t think the 2025 Steelers QB is on the roster, but whoever we get should have a good line. The past two drafts they’ve spent 1st rounders on Tackles, drafted the best pure C in the draft this year, and an impressive Guard that should be depth and development. They also signed two great guards in FA, and they have a utility lineman that was undrafted last year that has played all positions except LT this preseason, well. He will be the first man off the bench for any position. And the LT that they are trying to upgrade? Keeps stepping up to the challenge and outplaying the competition. They will have a rough start as they still need to gel and get that unspoken communication down, but by mid season, lookout!

@jon-nyc said in The Weird Guy Speaks: Idiots. Of course tariffs are paid by consumers. True, but they are consumers with jobs. At least in some industries. I think it's time we do not subsidize nations who do not have our best interests in mind and who are actively competing with us for power, both economic and militarily.

@Jolly said in Not a ton of chemistry...: @Doctor-Phibes said in Not a ton of chemistry...: I really enjoy the Leno videos on cars and his garage. It's a bit of a shame about the lack of chemistry, but presumably they were thrown together at very short notice so don't know each other at all. Would have helped if Jay would have imbibed some of James's gin. Apparently he didn't even try coffee until he was in his 60's. Maybe when you inhale that much petroleum you don't need any other stimulus.

It seems they are all playing song a step or two beyond their actual ability/accomplishment. If they just worked on pieces they could play with ease (and layed off the pedal) maybe they'd sound a bit better. I personally liked Miss Wyoming--that Yuja Wang works for me.

@LuFins-Dad said in King's The Long Walk back in movie development: And very few of his books translate to the screen. The Shining and Salem's Lot were done twice. Both of the second iterations were more faithful and less successful. Follow the money. Apt Pupil was OK...

That’s tough man. Aging parents or relatives. Could be worse, but could also be much better.

Haha awesome. I geocache and can’t believe the “ftf” (first to find) was 12 years. Usually it’s within a few hours of publishing the cache.

I'm sure Mayor Pete had no discussions with Scranton Joe to discuss his qualifications as Sec Trans, right?

Higher intake of total, animal, and plant protein is associated with lower mortality in older adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD), according to a study published in JAMA Network Open. When I read that, I see eat more bacon.

Drove a Grand Wagoneer in Hawaii last year and really liked it. As one should for an $80K and up vehicle. Would never buy one. Do not trust the brand.

@Jolly said in No Buyers?: As for the notion that Biden is a "good man" -- this too is a lie. Indeed, Am I the only one that found it ...what's the word, "disturbing?", "creepy?", "odd?", "weird?'...that Biden was introduced by his shower-mate daughter Ashley?

Oh, I think it's time to bring the hammer. These idiots have cost us shit-ton of money for pretty much zero results and a mountain of aggravation. I see where they are currently having conniptions, because Ford has decided they'd rather not be bankrupt and are putting their money back into hybrids and ICE's. Let those idiots live with A/C part of each day due to inadequate electricity, let them drive EV's or take public transportation, let them enjoy solar power during a blizzard or try to figure out where to dispose of windmill blades. The Wyoming congresscritter has thrown down the gauntlet. Let's see if the Colorado folks even try to walk the walk.

@taiwan_girl said in "Hide the Decline": Is there something to stop President Trump from spending some of his billions and billions of dollars doing the same thing? I may not agree with it, but if the rules are the same for both sides, then it is what it is. Massive spending by rich individuals or companies is certainly not a good thing. What did President Trump do during his first term to stop this? Yes. Now, go back and consider what I told you.

That's not a new idea. The Soviets were kicking around the concept in the 1920's. It's the idea on steroids. High dose steroids.

Sad story. I am not a doctor (LOL), but it seems pretty obvious that ramming your head many many times against something at high speed and high weight is not a good thing long term.
